A quick Chinese inspired dinner that will be ready in 15 minutes. And can you just look at that egg. Forget about slowly frying your egg in butter, if that egg doesn’t have a crispy skirt we can’t be friends hahaha.
Ingredients
500 g of mince beef.
2 tbsps of Chinese 5 spice.
1 thumbpiece size of ginger, grated.
3 garlic cloves, grated.
Chilli flakes to taste
2 tbsps of rice vinegar.
1 tbsp of toasted sesame oil.
3 tbsps of oyster sauce.
5 tbsps of tomato ketchup.
2 tbsps of light soy sauce.
Method
Into a large nonstick frying pan add a drizzle of oil and add the beef. Season and cook over a high for 10 minutes. As the beef cooks it will release some liquid, just keep cooking until that evaporates and then it will start to fry again. You want to get it nice and crispy and golden.
Next, turn the heat down to low. Add the 5 spice, ginger, garlic, chilli flakes and give that a couple of minutes.
Now, mix the together the rice vinegar, sesame oil, oyster sauce, ketchup and soy sauce. Pour into the beef, mix and allow to cook away for another couple of minutes then your done.
I like to have this with some rice, a fried egg and a few matchstick carrots, sliced chillies, spring onions, some fresh herbs and sesame seeds.
