SALT AND PEPPER PIGS IN BLANKETS

Prep Time 5 minute - Total Time 10 - Serves 2


Giving Pigs in Blankets that spicy Chinese takeaway twist. Oh my days it works so well!!!


Take the little piggy’s and roast (I’ve used The Jolly Hog pigs in blankets) then stir-fry with all the goodies.

This recipe will work chips, prawns whatever you fancy.


Ingredients

  • 10 mini pigs in blankets.

  • 1 white onion, sliced.

  • 1 green pepper, sliced.

  • Red chillies, sliced (as many as you like).

  • 2 spring onions, sliced.

  • 1 tsp of Chinese five-spice.

  • A pinch of MSG, optional.


Method

  1. The first thing to do is cook the pigs in a blanket according to the packet. This can be done in advance. Once cooked place to one side.

  2. Into a hot wok or frying pan add a good splash of oil, not olive oil. Add all the veg, season and fry over a medium to high heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes or till the veg just starts to soften.

  3. Mix in the five-spice and give that a minute.

  4. Next, add the little piggy’s and give that another couple of minutes so that they get hot again. If using the MSG add that now. Serve and enjoy.
