BAKED MOZZARELLA WITH PARMA HAM

Cooking Time 15 minutes - Makes 1


Cheesy comfort food, all you need is some bread for mopping and a cold beer.


Ingredients

  • 1 Buffalo mozzarella ball.

  • 400g tin of chopped tomatoes.

  • 3 slices of parma ham.

  • A pinch of oregano, chilli flakes and brown sugar.


Method


  1. In an ovenproof dish, pour in the tomatoes, season them, then add the oregano, chili flakes, and sugar. Mix well and taste to check the seasoning and spice level.

  2. Drain the mozzarella, tear it, and add it to the dish. Drizzle with a little extra-virgin olive oil and sprinkle another an extra pinch of oregano and chili flakes.

  3. Place the dish in a preheated oven set at 200°C for 15 minutes. Once out, drape the Parma ham over it and serve with some bread.
